The Parish Council has added an additional facility to its Defibrillators; all of which are now fitted with a grab bag containing a Bleed Control Kit in the cabinet.

This includes the telephone box in Burlawn. The kit contains equipment such as specialist dressings, trauma bandages a tourniquet and shears that should provide the vital First Aid resources necessary to prevent or reduce catastrophic blood loss until professional medical help arrives.

The kit can be accessed in the same way as the defibrillator by dialling 999 and asking for the Ambulance Service. They will advise you on what action to take. You should tell them that there is a bleed control kit located in the Defibrillator cabinet.
