Want to influence the future of health and care in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly?

December 09th 2021

Message from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.
We’ve got a brilliant opportunity for someone to join the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust Board and play a key part in influencing the way our services are provided, now and for the future.  We want to reach out to our local communities, as we’re sure there are lots of talented people who are potential candidates but who might not be actively looking for roles.  We hope you might help us by sharing our advert through your Parish and other networks.

It’s an exciting and challenging time at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals, with the biggest building and infrastructure projects in our history underway, and as we work together with our health and care partners to meet the changing and growing needs of our population.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services.  The successful candidate will be someone who can bring senior board or executive level expertise within large complex organisations in one or more of the following areas:

  • Information management and technology with a focus on digital services. Senior level experience of implementing digital transformation in a health or related setting would be desirable
  • Public health senior leadership experience, understanding of health inequalities and an appreciation for whole system working
  • Significant senior level experience engaging with the diverse social, economic and cultural groups and communities served by RCHT
  • Senior HR or Finance expertise gained at a strategic level within a large, complex organisation

We’re committed to having a Board that represents our community and particularly welcome applications from people from the black and minority ethnic communities, and disabled people who we know are under-represented in Chair and Non-executive Director roles. We want to diversify our Board in every way.

Those interested in the role can find out more and apply online here:

The closing date for applications is 5 January 2022

Please forward this email to anyone you think might be interested in this role.

Thank you you in advance,

Laura Mason
